SYNOPSIS

George MacKay plays a naive young man born and raised in a wealthy bunker. In his 20 years of life, he has only heard stories from the outside world. He spends his days working on a book of dubious quality with his father (Michael Shannon), a former energy tycoon, while his mother (Tilda Swinton), takes care of the maintenance of the numerous paintings and priceless works of art that adorn their walls. It’s the semblance of a normal (albeit comfortable) life. But when a strange girl (Moses Ingram) arrives at their door seeking refuge, the family’s delicate balance begins to unravel.

Still from the film 'The End' with Tilda Swinton hunching over a minature model of the Hollywood hills.
